If he blames it on the bigsby, tell him that 700+ ppl on this forum will tell him that the fact that it has a bigsby is not relevant and you wish to speak to his manager now cause either he doesn't know how to work on a bigsby eqipped guitar, or guitars w/ floating bridges, or that He isn't empathetic to the customer's satisfaction. Explain that he might have ruined and voided the warrenty on the tuners. If you dont know if the nut was serviced, and you didnt put the strings on yourself, I would go back to the tech and make him aware. I'm really frustrated due to the expenditure of time and money I didn't have and I'm about to relegate both guitar and tuners to the Buy&Sell if I can't get it fixed soon. How can I put regular tuners back in?Īny help is much appreciated. 1) what other things have I not considered? Could it be something other than the tuners, 2) If I wan to get rid of these tuners and try something else, I don't know if I can since the drill holes have been bored out. In desperation I'm returning to the forum today for advice. I've tried Nut Sauce everywhere, and installed a 1" spring instead of a 7/8" on the Bigsby. The tuners were installed by a well reputed luthier so I have confidence in his handiwork. The B, G and A strings seem especially bad. To my huge dismay, the guitar which previously stayed in tune for at least one or two songs, now stays in tune for 10 - 30 seconds with the Sperzels. Then as the problems persisted, I "upgraded" to some Sperzel locking tuners. I had tuning problems with my 5120, so on the kind advice of some forum members, I purchages a Carlton Custom Bridge which I'm very happy with.
